PMRDF Season over

The season was over for almost 9000 students when the AICAT cut-offs were announced and now it is over for the 800 odd who have not crossed the final cut-off barrier. There might be some hope for select few in the 2nd list, though. Since our last unofficial information, most selected students have either accepted the course provisionally or plan do so within this week.

The entire examination process was somewhat haphazard and mired with student outrage at almost all stages of the process. One more thing that has come to our notice that written/essay scores were actually based on work-ex and profile. A close scrutiny of marks of over 40 candidates confirms this with 90 percent accuracy, for rest 10 percent data on public forum might be incomplete. We have written about this to the TISS but don't expect any answers. Transparency was almost non-existent. In fact, we sent around 10 mails for releasing just the cut-offs, which was known approximately anyways.

Lets see what happens next year. I hope to see many of you, if not all. Till then, We would utilize this blog space for other similar competitive exams or any similar fellowship or job opportunity.

Additional news - from next year and the year after that, at least, hundreds of veterans (those whose attempts are legitimately over) would be allowed to attempt UPSC civil services again for 2 years. This would certainly cost about 3000 seats in mains and 500-600 seats in interview for youngsters, especially general category students as other category faces veteran competition every year anyways.
so, all hopes on this year's mains. i have added a counter for mains result date on right side.

UPDATE: 2nd list was announced well on time, for a change. the list had 16 names, several names were from the reserved category. A guy with barely .7 marks from cutoff did not make 2nd list in general category.
